Every PS4 owner should play Persona 5(No spoilers)

I have been away from the anime scene again but now for a good reason. I was at the end part of persona 5. It takes a lot of time and every hour i spent playing it was worth it.

I know this is not about an anime but still i would like to discuss my opinion on it.

So this Jrpg game and my very first jrpg game that I actually completed. The thing is that i never really liked the world setting for other Jrpg games but Persona 5 has the world setting which i really liked.

Persona 5 takes place in present time Tokyo, so i felt like i could relate to stuff happening. Our Main protagonist is an high school student which is again something i can kinda relate to.

This is a game so you would actually have to play through it. Depending on the way you play it you can complete it in minimum 60 hours(skipping cut scenes and stuff) ot like me who spent 85+ hours(watched cut scenes and things but didn’t max all stats). If you are a hardcore Jrpg fan then you will easily take 130+ hours to complete it.

Those 85 hours that i played through the game felt full filling. The story always manages to keep you on the edge of your seat. The game also manages to convey emotions in a pretty good way.( If the in-game character are frustrated so am i).

There were absolutely no times when i felt really bored, the game has really good pacing. It manages to keep the players entertained.

The thing i felt that makes it standout from the other Jrpg thag i have played (somewhat) is that Persona 5 has pretty different art-style then other Jrpg i have tried and it has pretty amazing Sound track. This i feel helps in making the player more immersed in the gameplay.

Also this game focuses more on the friendship. It is a key element of the game.

The combat is turn based and there are a lot of puzzles in the game like many other Jrpg games.

There are some flaws in the game too but they cannot be just told, these are something that you just feel while playing the game. Some of the flaws that i felt the game had, would probably not even be flaws for others. Any flaws that infelt were really minor and quickly forgotten. One thing i know is that it takes almost 5 hours to get going. Like the introduction and stuff will take around 5-7 hours but be patient and you will be fine.

I just feel that anyone who owns a PS4 or PS3 should play this game. It is really amazing.

Aguu: Tensai Ningyou Episode 2 impression (spoilers)

In this Episode we see Ai talking to Machi about her Aguu. Then Machi in turn tries to bribe Ai by giving her one of the Aguu that she has.

For doing this Machi takes Ai to the Aguu Market. There we meet the owner/tailor “Sherlock” who apparently sews Aguu to people for a deposit.

At first Ai agrees to get an Aguu sewed to her but later on realizes that it is the wrong thing to do. So she uses the Talisman given by the grampa on Machi but is later cornered by Sherlock the tailor. Then gramps and the annoying brat come in to save Ai. It is also revealed that Gramps and the brat have special powers which they use to save Ai and beat Sherlock.

It is also revealed that there is a huge demand for Aguu and there are a lot of markets all around the world. Which suggests that there is a huge world surrounding Aguu which is unknown to most common people.Aguu seems to have a very interesting environment which i hope is explored more in the later episodes.

Banana Fish Episode 3 impression (spoilers)

So we see Ash has been imprisoned and Max has been asked to take care of Ash.

Max Lobo was in the military with Ash’s older brother and was the one who shot the brother. Ash finds out about it and is furious.

Later we see Eiji has come to visit Ash and Ash slips a capsule which has a secret note in it to Eiji. This note is about how the Drug that he had asked the doctor to analyze was really dangerous and he should hide it.

We also find out that Banana fish is actually a person as per Max. Anyways we don’t know for sure yet but as the story moves forward i hope we will soon find out about this unique name.

Angolmois: Genkō Kassen-ki Episode 2 Impression(spoilers)

The second episode was very interesting, it had quite a lot of action in it and we were introduced to variety of new characters.

In this episode we saw the Mongol actually attack Tsushima island. The king of the island and the his army at first is able to defend against them also were able to push them back. But all of this was to lure the king and the army into a trap where all most all of the army was annihilated including the king.

Now it is in the hands of Kuchii Jinzaburō and the other exiles to defend the island from Mongol for seven days till reinforcement arrives.

The way the king charged into the battle with optimism was exciting but the outcome was pretty obvious. The army had just 300 men(not spartans though) and the enemy had over a 1000.

Honestly it was a tragic end to once a great king and his army.

This episode really hyped my up for the third one.

Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Holmes Episode 2 Impression (no spoilers)

The second episode actually showed us some of the ability of Kiyotaka as he solves a case with ease.

This case as such was not a hard one. But the good thing is that from now onwards we will get to see much more of crime solving.

Well i really hope there are much serious type of cases in the future. The case we saw this episode has been used a quite a lot. I already knew who the real culprit was even before they revealed it. I feel that the cases should be more complicated and challenging. Nonetheless a decent episode

Aguu Tensai Ningyou Epsiode 1 Impression

I have been low-key excited for this anime after having read the synopsis.

So Aguu is kinda like a guardian spirit which genius people are born with. The Not so successful people apparently realized the existence of this guardian spirit and used some wicked methods to make actual genius people into an guardian Spirit, so making them into an Aguu(cursed doll). They can give this Aguu to anyone who desires it.The organization that does it is still a secret.

The main protagonist is Ai who has a odd habit of doing splits randomly. She is a ballet dancer. Then there is her friend Machi who is also a Ballet dancer. Other characters include an old man and an arrogant brat with bushy eyebrows.

The animation style looks good. I am not really digging the opening soundtrack but the ending soundtrack is pretty good.

This anime has a pretty serious tone, that’s what i can say after watching the first episode.

The first episode was interesting and i am looking forward to the next episode.

Banana Fish Episode 2 impression(spoilers)

I am really impressed with the progression of the plot, it is quite well paced. The first episode did a good job of introducing the character and the outline of the plot.

The second episode was filled with action. We saw Eiji do a pole vault, straight up gunfights and Chase scene’s etc.

Skippers death was quite sudden and i wasn’t really expecting it and the other thing that came out of nowhere was Ash going to Jail. This show’s how much influence the Mafia has on people.

I honestly enjoyed the second episode. Can’t wait for the third now.

Shin Megami Tensei: Persona(What should you choose)

Persona is a really big franchise which at it’s core is a Game first and Anime later. The Persona games are really huge and the latest release Persona 5(2016) has got an anime adaption like its predecessor Persona 4. One good thing about Persona is that none of the stories are connected or inter-linked together,so that is a good thing for people who want to get in the series.

Now they obviously have two options 1. To watch the anime or 2. Play the game.

I am gonna talk about Persona 5 right now because it’s a New addition and is in the limelight now.

Persona 5(Game): So the game definitely has some major advantages like The whole story is very well explained(100 hr+to complete the game), You can actually experience the world of Persona, there is lot of customization options etc. The reviews for the game are all in 9’s out of 10. The soundtrack and the character development are the most important element of the game. Also they have constant updates and all.

Persona 5(Anime):Well it is a good anime but that’s it. As a standalone anime it might have been on the great side but it’s based on the game which has over 100 hrs of story, well of course an 24 episode anime can’t really show the whole story in detail yet it does a fine job of showing most of the important stuff. Animation is not the most amazing one but well again not bad. Strong point of the anime is the soundtrack which are the same from the game.

I would tell you to go and play the game but if you don’t have a ps4 and are not willing to buy one then you should probably watch the anime. It’s just that the Anime is good but the game is amazing.

Banana Fish looks good

So i just came across Banana Fish and thought to myself, “Looks like an interesting title, i wonder is it about a restaurant or something”. But it is not about an restaurant or anything remotely about cooking or catching fish and its nothing about bananas either.

Well i it is about an American Gang and more particularly about one guy named Ash, who is adopted by a crime lord to be nurtured to become a cold-blooded killer.

Synopsis:Nature made Ash Lynx beautiful; nurture made him a cold ruthless killer. A runaway brought up as the adopted heir and sex toy of “Papa” Dino Golzine, Ash, now at the rebellious age of seventeen, forsakes the kingdom held out by the devil who raised him. But the hideous secret that drove Ash’s older brother mad in Vietnam has suddenly fallen into Papa’s insatiably ambitious hands—and it’s exactly the wrong time for Eiji Okamura, a pure-hearted young photographer from Japan, to make Ash Lynx’s acquaintance…

From the synopsis this anime feels like its gonna be dark and more action focused, yeah it is kind of dark but the animation style is not really making the atmosphere for me. By no means it is bad, it is quite good and fitting for this anime………..but i was expecting something like ’91 days’ style of animation.

I had heard about Banana Fish prior to the anime. There is a completed Manga which people can go and read it. This manga had released way back in 1985 and ran through till 96′. So the animation actually kind of stay’s true to the manga’s art-style.

I am really interested in the story but not gonna read the manga though, i am gonna watch the anime.(weekly updates and overviews)

I find all of the character in the anime very interesting and i am really happy that a different kind of anime has come up. It is quite refreshing in my opinion and i can finally get back to watching some anime. From what i have heard it has a amazing story, so that’s good to know.

Banana-FishThis animation style reminds me of early 2000’s and 05′ anime like Red Garden and some other.

FLCL: Progressive Ep:1

So i just now watched the very first episode and here are some initial thoughts.

Well I don’t remember the first season very clearly (i know the story but not the character names and stuff).

So, my initial thoughts were, the animation feels modern and as i started watching i first felt the craziness of the first episode of FLCL was kinda missing, but later on in the episode it caught up with the same sort of craziness. So you can expect the similar kind of humor from this season too.

Story wise flcl:progressive is a sequel to the events of first FLCL. I honestly at first found the story of FLCL a bit confusing to understand and there are some things that need to be explained more i hope this season explains that stuff.

The characters look really interesting, our main character is a high school girl who is bored of her uneventful life and now her life is gonna be full of events…..i hope……

Well these were my initial thoughts on FLCL: Progressive.
