FLCL: Progressive Ep:1

So i just now watched the very first episode and here are some initial thoughts.

Well I don’t remember the first season very clearly (i know the story but not the character names and stuff).

So, my initial thoughts were, the animation feels modern and as i started watching i first felt the craziness of the first episode of FLCL was kinda missing, but later on in the episode it caught up with the same sort of craziness. So you can expect the similar kind of humor from this season too.

Story wise flcl:progressive is a sequel to the events of first FLCL. I honestly at first found the story of FLCL a bit confusing to understand and there are some things that need to be explained more i hope this season explains that stuff.

The characters look really interesting, our main character is a high school girl who is bored of her uneventful life and now her life is gonna be full of events…..i hope……

Well these were my initial thoughts on FLCL: Progressive.

Anime update

So there are some new anime, well new season and i am really excited to watch them.

There is FLCL and then kings avatar s2.

I will be reviewing them both and some other anime that i recently came across.

I have been away from the anime and manga scene a while but i am back now.

Hunter X Hunter(An overview)

If you are familiar with the anime world many people consider Dragon ball, Naruto and One Piece as the holy grail of Shounen anime/ manga many forget about a gem called Hunter x Hunter. This is an anime which is respected by it’s viewers and has been liked by everyone who has watched it. But a lot of time people hesitate to start a new series which is about 150 episode long. I am here to clear your hesitation about this wonderful anime that is Hunter x Hunter.

-What is the anime about?

Hunter x Hunter is set in a world where Hunters exist to perform all manner of dangerous tasks like capturing criminals and bravely searching for lost treasures in uncharted territories. Twelve-year-old Gon Freecss is determined to become the best Hunter possible in hopes of finding his father, who was a Hunter himself and had long ago abandoned his young son. However, Gon soon realizes the path to achieving his goals is far more challenging than he could have ever imagined.

Along the way to becoming an official Hunter, Gon befriends the lively doctor-in-training Leorio, vengeful Kurapika, and rebellious ex-assassin Killua. To attain their own goals and desires, together the four of them take the Hunter Exam, notorious for its low success rate and high probability of death. Throughout their journey, Gon and his friends embark on an adventure that puts them through many hardships and struggles. They will meet a plethora of monsters, creatures, and characters—all while learning what being a Hunter truly means.

-How is it different then other shounen?

-So Hunter x Hunter on surface looks really fun and colorful anime but it is something really really worse than that.(wont tell more because i don’t wanna spoil)

-What sets this apart?

– So a lot of times we expect something to happen in a certain way, but what if something exactly different happens? This is what Hunter x Hunter is all about, you can never anticipate things.

-what do i like in the anime?

The plot development is really good, the character development is on a complete different level. The most important are the villains in the anime, Hunter x Hunter is home to some of the most ruthless and gruesome villains i have ever seen. The arc’s in the anime are really good too.

This is the reason why everyone should at least once watch Hunter x Hunter.

UN-GO(my thoughts)

So a while back i wrote about the review of the first two episode, but now as i have watched all the 11 episodes i am writing a bit more detailed review.

First few episodes literally bored me, the mystery were to simple to solve and the cases were just to boring, but as the story progresses all the episodes and the certain mystery they had, they all start making sense(not 100% though).

It is tagged as a supernatural anime but the supernatural aspect of the anime is kept to a bare minimum. I think the anime is more psychological at the end. So it is actually worth watching till the end.

The op and Ed are good but not anything special, Voice acting is decent too.

Art-style is modern and normal nothing to weird or different.

Overall i’ll say it is worth the watch….

UN-GO(Episode 1&2 review)

So i have been searching for some short crime, drama anime and came across this one.      lets read the synopsis:

In a dystopian future, detective Shinjuurou Yuuki—known by some as the “Defeated Detective”—solves mysteries throughout Tokyo. Aided by his odd associate Inga, Shinjuurou’s insight and ingenuity in cracking cases, particularly homicides, lead to numerous mysteries solved and culprits caught. However, his partner seems to have some other, more sinister intentions for the people they catch, and the truth of the assistant’s identity and motivation is shrouded in secrecy.

Well i have watched the first two episodes and found the plot and story lukewarm, the cases did not feel really tough. I don’t assume if an anime is good or not just by its few episode, so i went online and checked for some information about the anime and for my surprise the anime has an average rating of 7. Now 7 is not a really strong rating but enough for me to continue watching it. Right now i am watching this as a side-anime,so i wont be finishing it anytime soon. I went through some of the reviews and found people saying that, the show has a bad start but actually gets really good at the end.

The anime review will be up in a few days.

Nanatsu no Taizai(The Seven Deadly Sin) review

The second season of Seven Deadly Sin is airing and people are saying that it is crazy good. So i decided to go and watch the first season and honestly it was good.
Synopsis
In a world similar to the European Middle Ages, the feared yet revered Holy Knights of Britannia use immensely powerful magic to protect the region of Britannia and its kingdoms. However, a small subset of the Knights supposedly betrayed their homeland and turned their blades against their comrades in an attempt to overthrow the ruler of Liones. They were defeated by the Holy Knights, but rumors continued to persist that these legendary knights, called the “Seven Deadly Sins,” were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights themselves staged a coup d’état, and thus became the new, tyrannical rulers of the Kingdom of Liones.

Based on the best-selling manga series of the same name, Nanatsu no Taizai follows the adventures of Elizabeth, the third princess of the Kingdom of Liones, and her search for the Seven Deadly Sins. With their help, she endeavors to not only take back her kingdom from the Holy Knights, but to also seek justice in an unjust world.(from myanime list).

Review:
So the things that i liked about the anime is the characters and the bomd they have, then the way the characters strengths were showcased etc.
At first you might think that these Seven sins are to much overpowered but later you start getting frustrated about how weak they are(not exactly weak but not the same overpowered either). I also like how the anime showed how each sin got his or her powers(backstory).

Now there is some stuff that i didn’t like much, like the plot is kinda understood but some of the events are not explained very well, then there are places where the plot moves ridiculously fast(the near ending episodes) the plot was progressing at good pace but then at one point it just takes off, which kinda seems rushed.
But overall it is a good anime.
Now i am going to start with Season 2.
