On his journeys the young hero encounters an orphan who claims to be the greatest thief in Japan. That synopsis is pretty horrifying and really interesting also airing from Jan 7.|
Well Tokyo Ghoul Re is the sequel to Tokyo Ghoul√A .
You can start seeing some similarities there in terms of Art style and Stuff. Now Tokyo Ghoul Re is still carry’s a dark theme but it also has some comedy in it, something like in Black Butler, where the whole theme is dark but you also have those chibi faces and quirky comedy, that was kinda different from what i was expecting but i’ll just say that it doesn’t really bother me but it might bother some fans( I don’t know if it is the same in manga but its there in the anime).
Story: So the direction of the story is kinda different with Kaneki now know as Haise is fighting with the CCG to fight against Ghouls. So when i actually started watching it i was left a bit confused, i had a lot of questions in my mind which most of them were answered after watching the 12 episodes but some of them still linger. The Pacing seems a bit fast probably because they only had 12 episodes to work with. I wonder why do they get just 12 episodes, Tokyo Ghoul is a pretty popular anime.
Characters: So most of the older characters are still present here but we have some addition like Saiko, Urie, Shirazu,Tooru etc. Well basically these new characters are from Haise’s own team and i personally like Shirazu. Each of those guys have unique personalities and unique motivations to fight against Ghouls.
Soundtracks: Well nothing can top “Unravel”, so the soundtrack are well lets say Nice, nothing more nothing less.
Animation: There are noticeable downgrades from previous Seasons, Particularly during Fight scenes. The style which was present during the fights in the first and even some of the second season is now missing, those fight scenes don’t make a huge impact like previous ones.
Overall i liked binge watching the anime but only because the story was moving ahead and i was too lazy to read the Manga. Trust me i’ll read the manga eventually but till then i am continuing with the anime. I just feel that the whole story is moving really fast with less explanation overall. Also i know i am very late with this review but as of now the second season is airing so i thought it would be a good time to watch this season and then continue with the second one.
This anime takes place in a book Store where the main protagonist a “Skeleton” works as a bookstore guy. The anime focuses on the hilarious and unique kind of characters that visit the Book Store(more like a comic Store).
There are people coming from all walks of life and Honda(skeleton) has to deal with them, sometimes they might be foreigners and sometimes very eccentric manga fans. The way he deals with them is pretty hilarious.
The anime is around 11 minutes long with two short stories in each episode. So overall a really good anime, very light hearted and just funny overall, and i also like how they refer to other anime’s.The other people working in the store are also a bit unique in their own way. All in all i had pretty fun time watching this.
It was a like a breath of fresh air, since i have not been watching anime for a while, this one was perfect to start from.
This is one of the anime which every car-person knows about, because this is a really good anime.
This one has got small details about cars right, it also has an really good MC who is a really good driver. This anime was also which introduced many kids to the car culture. This anime did a really good job of portraying the drifting and racing scene in Japan at that time. It also includes real-life locations which are used for races in the anime. I also liked how the characters would give explanations for some techniques which they used or something about the car setup etc. This explanation really seems helpful.
I can’t confirm if Initial D was the reason why Eurobeat music got popular or not but i can say that it was the reason why i started listening to Eurobeat more. The soundtrack used are really fitting to the scenes when they are played. Some popular songs are “Deja vu” And ” Running in the 90’s”. Those soundtrack paired with racing and drifting really set the mood for the anime.
Takumi Fujiwara is an aloof, spacey high-schooler who does delivery runs in his dad’s Toyota AE86 in the dead of night. Despite working at a gas station and having friends who are car nuts, he doesn’t know a single thing about cars.
Takumi is introduced into the world of street racing and his natural talent draws attention from all across Gunma. Will Takumi face the challenges or back out from the call of the mountain passes? (Taken from Myanime list).
All in all this is a really good anime and everyone should give it a shot.
This an anime takes place in the old era. It is about a shop which rent’s out some objects which can be ornaments or charms etc.
When an owner of a certain object cherishes the object very much then the objects soul takes a materialized form which is known as Tsukumogami.
Tsukumogami can be seen but they don’t respond to humans, only to other Tsukumogami.
This anime actually is about solving mystery using the Tsukumogami. Which i find interesting. It is supposedly an episodic anime, solving one mystery at a time. I guess the shop is also a part-time detective agency of sorts.
The animation style looks pretty good. I also like how the narrator explains certain objects from the past by comparing it to its present counterpart.
I also think that they will show the back story of each of the Tsukumogami in the shop, which would be interesting to see.
I liked the anime, it is something new and a bit different than the usual.
In this Episode we see Ai talking to Machi about her Aguu. Then Machi in turn tries to bribe Ai by giving her one of the Aguu that she has.
For doing this Machi takes Ai to the Aguu Market. There we meet the owner/tailor “Sherlock” who apparently sews Aguu to people for a deposit.
At first Ai agrees to get an Aguu sewed to her but later on realizes that it is the wrong thing to do. So she uses the Talisman given by the grampa on Machi but is later cornered by Sherlock the tailor. Then gramps and the annoying brat come in to save Ai. It is also revealed that Gramps and the brat have special powers which they use to save Ai and beat Sherlock.
It is also revealed that there is a huge demand for Aguu and there are a lot of markets all around the world. Which suggests that there is a huge world surrounding Aguu which is unknown to most common people.Aguu seems to have a very interesting environment which i hope is explored more in the later episodes.
The second episode actually showed us some of the ability of Kiyotaka as he solves a case with ease.
This case as such was not a hard one. But the good thing is that from now onwards we will get to see much more of crime solving.
Well i really hope there are much serious type of cases in the future. The case we saw this episode has been used a quite a lot. I already knew who the real culprit was even before they revealed it. I feel that the cases should be more complicated and challenging. Nonetheless a decent episode
I have been low-key excited for this anime after having read the synopsis.
So Aguu is kinda like a guardian spirit which genius people are born with. The Not so successful people apparently realized the existence of this guardian spirit and used some wicked methods to make actual genius people into an guardian Spirit, so making them into an Aguu(cursed doll). They can give this Aguu to anyone who desires it.The organization that does it is still a secret.
The main protagonist is Ai who has a odd habit of doing splits randomly. She is a ballet dancer. Then there is her friend Machi who is also a Ballet dancer. Other characters include an old man and an arrogant brat with bushy eyebrows.
The animation style looks good. I am not really digging the opening soundtrack but the ending soundtrack is pretty good.
This anime has a pretty serious tone, that’s what i can say after watching the first episode.
The first episode was interesting and i am looking forward to the next episode.
I am really impressed with the progression of the plot, it is quite well paced. The first episode did a good job of introducing the character and the outline of the plot.
The second episode was filled with action. We saw Eiji do a pole vault, straight up gunfights and Chase scene’s etc.
Skippers death was quite sudden and i wasn’t really expecting it and the other thing that came out of nowhere was Ash going to Jail. This show’s how much influence the Mafia has on people.
I honestly enjoyed the second episode. Can’t wait for the third now.
SO Grand Blue finally aired and one thing i can say is that the animation-style is pretty good but for some reason Iori looks kinda stiff(expression wise) and different from manga. Also i appreciate that they have not censored the butts.
Facial expressions: SO the facial expression are very important in Grand blue and i think they have managed to get it right but they have not nailed it. It still look kinda out of place sometime or forced. There also times when they have nailed it but these moments are quite rare.
Other characters don’t look different than the manga so that’s good.
From what i saw in the first episode i am not disappointed. Sometimes the comedy felt like it was being forced unlike in the manga. I am being a bit more critical of the anime because i love the manga and there are somethings which the anime is not getting right, it is not something that can be just pointed out. These flaws are minor but they are creating a difference in the enjoyment factor for me. The first episode was based on 1st and 2nd chapters of the manga and i enjoyed the episode but not as much as i enjoyed reading those two chapters.( I have reread the chapters at least 5 times).
The anime adaption is really good and i will continue watching it. Honestly it is much better than i had expected it to be. The Manga is on just another level though.
