Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Holmes Episode 1 review/ Impression

The story takes place in an antique shop which appraises antique items. The person who appraises the items is called ‘Holmes’. It is just a nickname but the guy is really smart and intelligent kinda like Sherlock.

I immediately started comparing the characters in the anime to actual Sherlock Holmes. The guy called Holmes is basically Sherlock and Aoi (main protagonist/narrator) is Dr Watson and then there is a mysterious villain which we just caught a glimpse of which kinda feels like he would be Moriarty.

Now back to the review

Story: Well it is just the first episode so i am not really sure where the story is heading into. I feel that the main story revolves around the antiques brought into the shop. The mystery part is not yet seen but we still caught a glimpse of a person who supposedly is the villain. The story might also revolve around counterfeit antiques, which Holmes does not like as an appraiser. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Characters: Yagashira Kiyotaka(Holmes) kinda gives of the Sherlock Holmes feel with his accurate instincts and all. Yagashira like Holmes has a kind of dark side to him(no drugs though). Mashiro Aoi who works part time in the antique shop after certain events. She is a smart girl who catches up with stuff pretty quickly. I think there are quite a lot of them to come some might be there for just an episode and others might make recurring appearances.

Art-style: This anime looks modern and has the art-style and animation similar to Oushitsu Kyoushi Heine. There are some moments where the character are shown as chibi versions of themselves again that’s something i saw in Oushitsu Kyoushi Heine.

While we were able to see the Ability of Yagashira Kiyotaka, we didn’t really see any mysterious cases being brought in,well we’ll have to wait for the anime to progress a bit. For those who can’t wait, you can actually go and read the Novel by Mochizuki Mai, it is said that the anime is based off of the novels.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Episode 1 review

The Story of Boruto, the son of Naruto has officially begin. I watched the 1st episode just now and to be honest i liked it(more than i thought), it screams modern as the whole Naruto universe has begun to modernize.

boruto - 01

Art-style:

So lets talk about the art style now, many fans were kinda pissed when they saw the changes in art style. But what i feel is that the Art style looks pretty modern and kinda unique like next generation art style.

Today’s episode:

The new episode started with Kawaki and Boruto fighting and konoha is destroyed, well this happens sometime in the future though. The first episode starts with Boruto jumping on building with Shikamaru’s son( i forgot his name) and it kinda brings back memories.Well Boruto seems to be sad as his dad is always busy with work and has no time to comeback home and stuff.

I actually like how Boruto is thinking, like he is a different person then his father, he was raised up differently then his father so the whole world should not expect him to be the same as Naruto(fans also should understand this) and he also as his own goals. The new episode had some mysterious in it too, like Boruto’s left eye and the snake like creature that possesses the rich kid, there are many theories about that out there on the web. But i want to wait for a week to find out about it….

This is was my impression about the new episode.
